Awesome new visitor centre with cafe overlooking the Glass House Mountains. Visitors centre has rotating exhibits on loan from the Queensland Muesem. They are interactive and the kids love them. Some walks have been sealed and are wheelchair, wheelie walker, and pram accessible. There is a playground, a big grassy lawn to play sports on, and BBQ area w gas barbies. A great spot to take visitors and/or have a family day out. Breathtaking views make this a must visit place when on the Sunny Coast.
Took our two boys aged 5 and 2 and they loved it. We did the rainforest walk. Two year old walked most of the way but we could have actually taken the pram as there were good paths the whole way. We had lunch and admired the beautiful views. They do a kids lunch pack which has a toasted sandwich, juice and a cookie for $10. Finally they played at the playground, which they loved.
Really nice facilities. A little playground for the kids. Great little cafe looking over the glass house mountains. A lookout at the top. The centre asks for a gold coin donation to go through and it then leads to the walks. The centre it's self is very interactive and great for kids as well as adults. The walks are short (longest one is 1.7km) but beautiful. Lots to see and wildlife spotted throughout your walk. Well worth a trip here.
Amazing! Not only will you get the best view of the glass house mountains, the reserve is also a treasure trove of flora and fauna. It's an amazing preservation of our recent past and should be treasured. The walk through the reserve is easy, with a board walk and clear easy trails. Entry is for a very reasonable gold coin donation.
Wow, this place is simply stunning. We were recommended this place and were not disappointed. The walk through the rain forest is an easy 1.7km amble surrounded by birds, exotic trees and wildlife. A few times, the pademelons (small kangaroo like marsupials) crossed our path. From time to time, you can just stop and listen to the incredible bird calls. All in all, this is an awesome and magical place to visit.
