We had the most relaxing stay at Sienas Chalet. Our room overlooked a beautiful rose garden, and we really appreciated the air conditioning! Our bed was so comfortable. One of the best nights sleep I have had for a long time.David and Joanee made us the most delicious full English breakfast and then we walked into Maleny to shop and look around. Our hosts were so friendly and welcoming, I couldnt recommend it more highly.
Cosy and comfortable, very pleasant hosts.A fantastic cooked brekky.Walking distance to the popular Brouhaha Brewery, which is worth a visit. Great value for money @Siennas Chalet, certainly recommended.
We were extremely unhappy with the quality and service at this so called B&B. We had booked two nights for our Grandmother during our recent daughters wedding. I delivered my grandmother to this location, we were greeted with weeds growing out of a pathway, slippery steps, newspapers and magazines on the outdoor table, old outdated mouldy cushions on chairs, and a host that welcomed us in. I asked the host when my grandmother could get a cup of tea. We walked through the dining room which had a table that would resemble any busy family table in the world. There was magazines and newspapers over it, the tablecloth was askew, and it basically looked like a house with a lot of occupants occupied it. A dog was running through the property. There was also a very fluffy cat (which I was advised by my grandmother the next day sat on the table while people would try and have a cup of tea and eat). We walked into the kitchen which had dirty dishes in the sink from lunch. My grandmothers was told just grab whatever you want out of the kitchen. I asked where there was a sitting area for my grandmother. The host walked us into the family lounge room. This had cushions on the floor, scattered books, magazines and newspapers, once again very similar to a busy household house. The skirting boards were coming off the walls, there was dust in the hallway, cardboard boxes at the front door, quite simply not a B&B at all. I walked back into the kitchen area where the host had started to get the cup of tea ready because my grandmother simply could not work out what she was supposed to, or allowed to do. Because I knew there were no other rooms available in this location due to the high wedding season, I made it my mission to immediately try and find an additional bed in someone elses room so that she would not have to suffer that the next day. I was due to pick up my grandmother at 11 AM the next day, she texted me at 9am and asked me to come as soon as I possibly could. She advised me that breakfast was a choice of one cereal and yoghurt. Grandma advised me that the dishes from last nights dinner were left overnight in the kitchen and where there still in the morning. My grandmother, being elderly, even offered to help her clean up. During discussions in the evening the host had said that she was trying to remove the tenants from the bottom of the house, because it wasnt a good look when they all sat around smoking and drinking. I totally agree, dont you? We paid good money for this B&B. My grandmother being a Grandmother, paid up in full the very next morning, as soon as she could, because she didn't want me to talk to the host, as she was embarrassed. My Grandmother paid for the two nights, even though she only stayed one night, instead of the two. The host advised her that she had to. After we had put Grandmother into the car, I explained the host that we were very unhappy. I explained to her all these reasons why were unhappy and requested that the one night accommodation that was not used be refunded to my grandmother. It was at this point in time all of a sudden the host was no longer the manager of the location (the day before she's mentioned she's run hotel for 10 years), rather she had to check with her partner. I advised her that if we did not get a refund Id be taking the matter further. Ive since phoned her and she advises me that theres nothing wrong with the location, and that my grandmother had a wonderful time. She advised me that because I didnt stay there I wouldnt know what Im talking about, and she hung up the phone on me. I travel around the world staying in hotels, B&Bs, anything from one star to five star, but I can absolutely say without a doubt I would never send anyone to this location ever. In the morning my Grandmother helped change the sheets on the bed for the next visitor!!!!
