What happens to pomodoras restaurant! After one year, I was so exited to come back with my parents but the level of preparation and the menu were not the same and not as good. The duck was over cooked, the pork belly was soaking in a heavy creamy sauce and the eggplant croquettes were chewy. Very sad for the price I paid. Ill not go again.
I was at the restaurant last week with my husband its a special occasion. Its our first time to went up the hill in a beautiful Maleny but finding the place is tricky its neighbour is not good. Its cozy clean inside but the menu is so limited when we ordered a lamb shanks is so salty not to my palate.The only that is good is the fried potato. i will rate it 1 star out of 5 because its clean but i dont intend to go back. The website is deceiving.
We visited the restaurant as part of a wedding reception. We were a party of 24 and the venue was booked 6 months in advance. Service was so horrible it ruined the whole evening. A three-course dinner was a four hour affair, with guests leaving; unable to wait for dessert. Service was so poorly provided there were guest finished with their meal before other had been served. There appeared to only be three servers in the whole restaurant (which was still open to dinner patrons) and two people in the kitchen. No explanation or apology was given for the poor service on such a special occasion. My recommendation is: go elsewhere!
Had an anniversary dinner here with my partner. I have never had such great service or top quality food and drinks. I cannot believe how amazing the restaurant is. I had stayed somewhere else, but after seeing how fantastic the restaurant was, I want to come back and stay here. There is nothing bad I can say about the food, service, staff or atmosphere. Thank you, Pomodoras, for an unforgettable evening!
Food was of a very high standard - beautiful flavours, quality ingredients all perfectly cooked and presented. The location was also fantastic - plenty of parking, nice decor, and a warm inviting ambience. My only piece of criticism would be towards the service. You need to be able to better cater to large parties, especially when bookings are made well in advance. Although the service was very friendly and pleasant, the attentiveness and turnaround times were extremely lacking. There were significant wait times for drink service and food service with wait times for dessert well over 1 hour. Perhaps put an extra staff member on when larger parties are present.
